Destination

  • Provincial: Services can be arranged at your destination branch. Contact your local office two weeks in advance.
  • National: When traveling nationally and using the VitalAire network, contact your local branch two weeks in advance to make arrangements.
  • International: VitalAire is part of the international Air Liquide Healthcare network, operating in 38 countries around the world and arrangements can be made for popular destinations. Contact your VitalAire office at least one month in advance. If traveling internationally using oxygen cylinders, the cylinders you take must be returned to the home office. This means that if you take two cylinders from your home location, you must bring those same two cylinders back with you.

Consult your physician

Consulting your physician will enable him/her to prescribe any changes in your daily therapy that your travel may require. Oxygen is classed as a drug, and therefore it may not be dispensed without a prescription. Always carry a copy of your oxygen prescription with you. Some airlines require a special form to be completed by your physician
